Hey there! I’m Brook the artisan behind The Wild Bison. I am passionate about designing and creating unique jewelry pieces that make you feel extra special when you wear them. A feeling that not only emits confidence and beauty, but also a steady dose of positive energy and tranquility by being able to take a little bit of nature with you wherever you go. You will also recognize high quality materials and craftsmanship that stand the test of time. It is my intent that every piece become someone’s treasured keepsake with meanings beyond a beautiful accessory.
So, how did The Wild Bison come to be? I have been personally drawn to hand-made jewelry and natural stones for quite some time. The careful design elements and one-of-a-kind stones always captured my attention, yet I had no idea I would someday be an artisan myself. I started down the path of jewelry making during a difficult period of grieving. One day, I was watching a video story on social media about a jewelry company, and they were discussing the natural healing properties of the moonstone. In that moment, I knew it was meant for me. My new moonstone ring was gorgeous. I loved wearing it. It was mesmerizing and it made me feel beautiful and balanced. I would catch myself staring at it wondering exactly how it was made. It was beyond curiosity—I felt truly inspired. I did some research and found it was quite the intricate process. That would have generally scared me away, but instead, I felt driven like never before. I knew it was something I was meant to do! I was all in and I am so glad I recognized that prompting! I needed this creative outlet as a means to heal, but it was so much more. It enabled me to express my creative abilities, to incorporate my love of design, and to channel my deep connection with nature with renewed purpose. It enabled me to grow, to feel peace and joy, and excitement for the future. I discovered my niche!
That’s where The Wild Bison name comes in. The bison has always given me a very special feeling-- A powerful draw and spiritual presence from the time I was a little girl, which has only grown deeper. For me, my family, and my business, it represents strength, perseverance, independence, honor, and respect. The bison is unwavering in its determination to survive and prosper despite struggles endured. The bison herd is family-oriented and walks with power and grace. Those important qualities are represented in every decision and every creation I make. I pour my inspiration, heart, and soul into every piece.
